University of Houston Traffic Notice

LOCATION:

University Drive (Entrance One) between Calhoun Road and the University Center

IMPACT:

Phase One: Water meter installation will result in the closure of Entrance One's eastbound inside lane.

Phase Two: Will shut down the right lane leading to the University Center Loading Dock.

DATE:

Monday, July 6, 2009 through Friday, August 14, 2009

DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITY:

Phase One: Beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, July 6, 2009, one of the eastbound lanes of University Drive between Visitor Information Booth and Calhoun Road will be closed. Phase one of this project allows for the installation of both a City of Houston water meter and back flow preventer on a University Boulevard median. 

Phase two will require the closure of the right traffic lane leading to the University Center loading dock.  The contractor will have flagmen on site to facilitate traffic flow on University Boulevard. 

At no time will all of the lanes be closed.  PLEASE EXPECT DELAYS.
